It worked out pretty well the last time we did that, (same girl!) so we thought we'd try again.

She said, "Make it a little goth, a little darkish or edgy, and the girl likes vampires." BUT my friend the gift giver didn't want it to be SO wild or crazy that SHE would be embarrassed to give it.

I made these cute things for a "Favorite Things" party, where you're supposed to give away something that's your favorite... so I did earrings because I love jewelry and I love to make jewelry. Problem is, I finished these like right before the party, but I REALLY wanted to keep them for myself. Then, the gal who got them, I see QUITE frequently and she's wearing them QUITE frequently. It plagued me for some time. I finally made my own. I love them. They go with everything. They feel hip. AND they tinkle a little bit when they move. LOVE!

These are LOVELY. Creamy, pearly teardrops. And they're a most perfect color-a little pink, a little taupe, a little fabulous! I wish I could squish them and make a lipstick. Doesn't that look like the perfect subtle/elegant lip color? And, I don't know if you've noticed, but they're on a unique earwire-it's a long drop. And it's PURDY!

Sometimes I create stuff late at night. I don't know why. Well, yes I do, it's because I can have a little mental peace and can actually finish a project without my 3 little helpers around. Anyway. So it's good for me to get stuff done, bad for my pictures. And I would have waited 'till the morning light to take a picture of this little beauty, but I couldn't because it was a rush order and had to be removed from my house too early for me to photograph it. Dang. So my dark, unprofessional looking pictures are not doing this little sweetheart justice. (Well, I've never claimed to be the best photographer in the uni and I don't even know how to touch up my pictures.) But will you take my word that it's lovely?

Possibilities again, here people. Have a favorite color? Ooohhh, better yet-a birthstone? Or you just like the simplicity, okay, that's fine I understand. You pick. And then you let me know. (This particular crystal is actual the teeeeeeeeeeeeniest little bit pink. Which was perfect for the recipient.)

Ok, look. I'm a therapist and I have diagnosed this pair of earrings to have a split personality. The color is so clean and calm and beautiful and fresh. And then they've got this nice, long lean line. I feel like if you look at 'em long enough, you'll feel like you've had a day at the spa!

So there's a fun story about how these earrings came to be in existence. A friend requested a set of earrings for a new sister in law who she'd never met yet, BUT said sister-in-law did have a blog. So, I spied out her blog and tried to get a sense for who this gal is, and this is what I came up with. Chic, trendy, modern, clean lines. Mercedes. There you are.

Don't ask me why, but these photographed looking yellowish. They're not. They're greenish. The stone is called Olive Jade-so really, these aren't yellow. Why don't I fix it so it looks more true to it's real color? I don't really know how. Just trust me. This is a greenish stone-it's the same stone as I used in Sweet Celery, where it looks more green. Anyway...

This set is like your best friend. When it's with you, it makes you better. Seriously. I made this for someone's mother-in-law and I fell in complete love with it. (Just fyi-I often wear jewelry before I sell it, just to make sure it won't break or something. Anyway...) Without fail, every time I wore this friendly set, people commented on it. Always. After I created these darling pink danglies for Super Saturday, and after having many people love them, I designed a bracelet to go with. Perfectly dainty and girly, but a leeeeeetle bit funky. Rose quartz.

Please note-these pictures were all taken in different lights. The middle pic caught a sudden burst of sunlight. The bracelet pic was taken outside with just natural cloudy light. I think it's the truest.

What.Ever! These are approximately the most fabulous earrings ever. Let me tell you how these came to be, and then you'll realize that you can do the same thing, if you so wish. A friend found a picture online of a pair of earrings that was much beloved, but was also *cough* 50 bucks! Right. So she emailed me the picture to see if I could copy it/duplicate it somehow. And here's what we have. Don't even try to tell me that they're not amazing. They are. But they were a little spendier to create-these are $10. 10 bucks... 50 bucks... give me a sec here. Anyway, my point was, you can find earrings that you love and we can see if I can copy them. No guarantees, of course, but I'll do my best! :)

Ok, maybe when you get right down to it, there isn't much that's "antique" about this set. Except one of my favorite things-and that is that it's made with Rose Gold, which gives it a fabulous, unique flair. This set was designed as per the specifications of the mother of the groom. Dainty, sparkly and in the bride's colors of raspberry and black. She sent me a picture of a necklace she wanted to imitate and viola!
